FireFox RAM Tweaks

By tweaking the way Firefox handles some caching functions, you can dramatically improve page load speed and even prevent Firefox from hogging your system resources while minimized.
Type in: "about:config" (without the quotes) in the Firefox Address bar and press Enter. You may get a warning message, so if you wish to continue, click on the "I'll be careful, I promise" button on the warning page.
Reduce the amount of RAM Firefox
uses for its cache:
1. Find “browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewer”
2. Set it’s numerical value to “0“ (Zero without the quotes)

Reduce RAM usage to 10MB when
Firefox is minimized:
This tweak will drop Firefox’s RAM usage down to 10 Mb when minimized:
1. Right Click in the page and select New -> Boolean.
2. In the box that pops up enter “config.trim_on_minimize” (without
the quotes). Press Enter.
3. Now select True and then press Enter.
4. Restart Firefox Browser for the new changes
to take effect.
